Cargo problem

Cargo Is Not Moving

I identify who controls the cargo, why movement stopped, and what the records show about status, route and storage.

Initial review is free. Written consultation and court representation are paid services.

What I can help with

I separate customs action from action by a carrier, warehouse or other contractual party.

Inspection or examination

Customs inspection or examination has been scheduled

You need to understand what control has been scheduled and what the available records show about the cargo status.

What I review

  • I review the notice or other document identifying the scheduled inspection or examination and its subject.
  • I compare the stated details with the goods, declaration and available clearance records.

What the written consultation gives you

The paid written consultation reviews the specific notice or status, identifies documented facts and sets out points that still need clarification from the records.

Information requested

Customs requested additional information

You need to understand exactly what customs is asking for and what has already been submitted.

What I review

  • I separate the request into specific facts, documents and explanations.
  • I compare it with the declaration and materials already provided during clearance.

What the written consultation gives you

The paid written consultation reviews the specific request, identifies points requiring documentary response and assesses the supporting materials already available.

Security and release

There is a dispute over security or release conditions

You need to understand which calculation, condition or recorded status is preventing completion of clearance.

What I review

  • I review the calculation, notice or other document recording the security or release issue.
  • I compare it with the declaration, goods details and supporting records already provided.

What the written consultation gives you

The paid written consultation reviews the specific calculation, notice or status and gives a written assessment of the disputed points shown by the materials.

Restriction or permit

There is an issue involving a restriction, permit or rightsholder

You need to identify the specific issue raised by customs and the records relevant to it.

What I review

  • I review the official notice or status and identify the specific issue stated by customs.
  • I compare the goods details with available permits, origin records or rightsholder-related documents where relevant.

What the written consultation gives you

The paid written consultation reviews the stated customs issue, the available supporting records and any document inconsistencies requiring further clarification.

How I work

Initial review - free

Send a short description of the issue and list the documents you already have. I will determine whether I can assist and what materials are needed next. A full document review is not included at this stage.

Written consultation - paid

If you need a detailed review of documents, calculations, a demand, refusal or other issue, I prepare a written consultation. Court representation in Russia is also paid. Drafting a specific document is agreed separately.

The scope and fee are agreed separately after I have seen the situation and available materials.

Questions before contacting me

Customs has released the cargo, but the warehouse will not hand it over. Is this the same issue?

No. That is a separate contractual issue. The review should identify who is holding the cargo, the stated basis, and what the storage or release terms say.

Is an oral update from the customs representative enough?

For a substantive written review, it is better to obtain the official notice, decision or other documented status. An oral summary may not show the exact issue customs has raised.
